LockApps turns Apple's Screen Time framework into simple parental controls. You can block apps immediately, set daily limits, or schedule when apps are unavailable — all without a subscription.

Three control modes

  • Immediate block — turn off chosen apps right now.
  • Schedule — make apps unavailable during set hours (bedtime, school).
  • Daily limit — allow a fixed amount of time per day.

Set up a time rule

  1. Open LockApps, enter your passcode and press =.
  2. Tap Time Control and add a rule.
  3. Choose a mode, pick the apps, and set the hours or limit.
  4. Save — the rule applies automatically.
Want to also stop apps being deleted or installed? LockApps includes restriction toggles for app removal and installation.

Parental controls vs simple app locking

Parental controls manage when and how long apps can be used. If you just want to keep someone out of an app entirely, see how to lock apps.
