iPhone has no built-in way to password-protect individual apps. LockApps adds a real app lock: when someone opens a locked app, a shield blocks it until they pass Face ID or your secret passcode.

Lock an app in four steps

  1. Open LockApps, type your passcode on the calculator and press =.
  2. Tap App Lock.
  3. Tap Select Apps and approve the Screen Time permission.
  4. Pick the apps to lock. A shield now guards each one.

What happens when a locked app is opened

Anyone tapping a locked app sees a shield screen instead of the app. They must authenticate with Face ID (or your passcode) to continue. Without it, the app simply won't open.

App Lock vs Screen Time limits

Apple's built-in Screen Time can add time limits, but it's easy to bypass and isn't designed as a privacy lock. LockApps uses the same framework but focuses on real protection. Compare them in App Lock vs Screen Time.
