iPhone's built-in Hidden album only moves photos to a folder anyone can open. To hide photos for real, move them into an encrypted vault and remove the originals from your library.

The problem with the iOS Hidden album

The Hidden album sits right inside the Photos app. Even if it's locked by Face ID, its existence is obvious. A true privacy solution keeps photos out of Photos entirely.

Hide photos the private way

  1. Open LockApps, enter your passcode and press =.
  2. Go to Private Space → Photos and tap Import.
  3. Select the photos to hide.
  4. Delete the originals, then clear them from Recently Deleted in the Photos app.
The vault itself lives behind a working calculator, so even the place your photos are hidden looks like a math app. Learn more about the calculator vault.

Keep them safe

Because the vault is a free private photo vault stored only on your device, your hidden photos aren't in iCloud Photos or any shared album.
